A peak through the looking glass, to what some may say, best city garden 🌱 🍂

We have so much colour in the garden this time of year, as the autumn colours come out, and late blooms continue to thrive amongst the cold air. We had our first snow of the season down here yesterday and a cold snap signalled winter is well and truly on its way ❄️

Hello friends! Wow we’ve been slack on here, I’ve eluded a couple of times to some big news and kept you all hanging. We’ve been busy bee’s taking on our biggest adventure yet! A few months ago, we bought a rundown old blueberry farm, just south of Hobart, renamed her and dove head first into learning all things blueberry (yes with zero experience, lord help us!) We’re madly prepping for our first picking season and looking forward to welcoming you all to the farm for some pick your own 🫐 over Christmas!

That’s not enough you say? Ok well we gained so much experience and had such a great time creating the lodge, we thought we had to do it again, so we’re also mid renovation of our next unique stay, from early 2025 we’ll have Cedarwood House ready for short stays on the farm.

In the meantime, feel free to come visit us at the farm for fresh bloobs 🫐 and we’ll do our best to keep you updated!

Oh my oh my, what a few chaotic months it’s been down here in the chilly south! We have been a little quiet on socials of late as we’ve been focusing on some major life plans currently evolving. We’ll share some of that news soon in a new post!

However I really just wanted to share a few pretty shots of the lodge as we’ve tipped well and truly into winter, with plenty of ice and snow blanketing the state these last few weeks. That said, we have had some stunning blue skies and sunny days that trickle in through our old windows. Just like those captured by our lovely friend

We are looking forward to a few days put aside for ourselves at the lodge next week, to slow down and recharge.

The last of our autumn flowers are starting to wilt, and I’m flicking through these gorgeous shots from before summer taken by as we get to see our new garden enter its first winter. I’m actually really excited to see the structures and muted winter colours. It was something that really impressed me with .p_gardens design, the thought put into how our garden will hold its own through each season. Celebrating the entire lifecycle, as we tend to retreat inside for the winter, I look forward to making time in the garden over these cooler month’s to watch things evolve
