2025 Launceston to Hobart Yacht Race run and done for Knest Modular Prion.
A nice run across the top of Tassie was followed by an uncomfortable and very dark night in Banks Strait. We had a stop start time of it from Eddystone Point down to Bicheno before a nice run down the outside of the Freycinet Peninsula and across to the top of Maria Island. Then the frustrating Mercury Passage saw a big compression of the fleet and we got lucky down the western shore. Another nice run down to Tasman before the Cape Raoul parking lot. Any chance of an overall win dissapeared with the breeze and we set about locking down on a new goal of being 2nd boat home. We stuck at it across Storm Bay before being rewarded with a nice 20knots from Betsy Is around the Iron Pot and up to White Rock before one last test of patience as we transitioned our way up past Sandy Bay and onto the finish line.
