Bonney and Hinkler held War cry practice at break time in preparation for Athletics Carnival. Everyone was getting into it and are ready to show their house spirt on Monday.

Thank you to HSS parent, Andrew, who spoke to our Year 5 and Year 6 students yesterday about his career, and connected his work with their science learning about electricity and light. Another great opportunity for our students.

Year 4 loved making Muesli Slice this morning as part of their food technology preservation unit. Each group used a set of ingredients to make a healthy slice which they were able to taste afterwards. They will freeze the left overs and will have some more for a morning tea on Year 4 Camp in Term 3.

As part of their technologies unit, Year 2 made a healthy fruit salad using products from a farm or orchid. They loved putting the salad together and having a little taste test after.

Congratulations to the award recipients from today’s Assembly and Prep S for class of the week. A big shout out to the choir for their fantastic performance.

Year 1 had the most amazing time at Bluey’s World this morning. They took part of a media announcement and got to have a guided tour afterwards. We can’t thank Bluey’s World enough for the experience that they provided today. Have a look out for Hamilton SS on the news tonight.

This week, Year 5 have been using what they have learnt in Science to construct a light maze in a shoebox. Here are some photos of what they have created so far.
