headspace Forum 2026!
Robyn, Jasper and Emily were fortunate to join other headspace team members at the National headspace Forum recently held in sunny Brisbane! From inspiring speakers, practical and thought provoking workshops and panels, along with time to connect and learn from other headspace center's from across the country, this Forum had it all - even doggo's!
Team members have returned renewed, with fresh knowledge and practical strategies to implement in our local communities. We are excited and proud to be a part of such a fabulous organisation and network which genuinely centers young people at its core.

While 2027 may still seem a long way off, we are already recruiting volunteer mentors for next year.
Starting early allows us to complete screening and training ahead of the school year, helping us match students with mentors sooner and reduce wait times for young people eager to take part.
Mentoring is a rewarding opportunity to help make a positive difference in the life of a young person. Just one hour each week spent connecting, enjoying shared activities, and building a positive relationship can make a real difference to a student's school journey.
If you have ever considered becoming a mentor, we invite you to apply now as we prepare for our 2027 intake.

Celebrating NAIDOC Week - 50 years deadly!
We loved attending the Flag raising ceremony in Hamilton recently to celebrate NAIDOC Week. The joy and feels were flowing as young community members danced, leaders shared speeches and stories, the sun shone and the smoke embraced us all like a big warm hug. Thank you for a wonderful experience and the opportunity to connect, learn, heal, deepen our understanding and walk together. ๐
Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

For some young people, going to school can cause high levels of distress and anxiety, which may lead to reluctance or difficulty attending. This can also be stressful for the adults who care for them, making it challenging to navigate both a young personโs emotions and their own.
Join our free online textโbased group chat to connect with other adults and explore ideas for supporting a young person as they develop and learn to navigate lifeโs ups and downs.
