Charlie’s made some good progress on the XR this week got the rear bar mounted and new sheet around and roll pan ready to weld . This will be gapped to 6mm . Im stoked the owner let us go with a full rear bar instead of the bumperettes just finishes the rear of Utes off better .

Thought I would share some progress shots and info of the zephyr we are converting from a 4 door to 2 .
With the doors we used the front of the L/H rear door on the rear of the R/H front door so we could use the factory door catch and b pillar.
The body line we made a die to suit was tricky to get it to flow nice and not look kinked .
Then we started the sail panel and did a lower crown one as the factory 2 doors have a big bump behind the door . We also did the bead ljne not as deep just to make it blend in a-little better .
Then we moved on to top of the 1/4 panel got that sitting rite and then made the reverse curve from under the rear window to cat walk
The cat walk we had to make another die for the faint centre line to fade off .
We will be extending the boot 100mm from factory as the owner and I feel they are to small for the car so by eye mite make it look a-bit nice even know zephyrs are pretty close to a perfect looking car .

Sorry we have been slack posting /answering texts and calls . Charlie and I have been flat out the last 3 weeks trying to get cars out , finished our part on the 57 Fairlane , and the 36 chev hot rod pick has been a test and taken a lot longer then expected to sort out ready to drive and be safe , Also been getting Tony’s 50 shoe box ready for paint we started 5 years ago which is about 4 weeks off being pre trimmed and sent to paint . I’ll try get back to everyone next week .
Sometimes things take longer then expected but it has to be rite ! so it is what it is .

Done a quick new fuel tank job for Marks Torana .The old one hang a-bit low and was pretty ugly so we cut some of the boot floor and came though to get it higher off the ground and add more litres. Old one was around 80L new one is 110L. Fits the car a lot nicer in my opinion. We did the baffles to catch fuel under acceleration.

We made the scoop for this car a few years ago to they always look better painted .
