𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲?

The study recruiting girls will examine the effects of how short-video content affects every day experiences online for Australian females aged 16-21 years old who use TikTok and Instagram daily. The study will be conducted completely online over a two-week period. As a token of appreciation for their involvement, the participants will be given up to $50 in the form of an online gift card.

The interview recruiting boys will explore Australian adolescent boys’ online experiences in relation to body image and identify strategies to promote positive body image. This will help inform intervention and prevention efforts in research to improve adolescents’ body image. Any boys participating will be given a $30 online gift card as a token of appreciation, the interviews will be online outside of school hours, and parent/guardian and adolescent must provide consent prior to involvement.

We are super happy to see the final mural come together at the YOUth Vision: Mosaic Mural unveiling, what a beautiful artwork showcasing the amazing talent and skill of young people.

The project captures Griffith through the eyes of young people, showcasing their talents and ideas, as well as their aspirations for Griffith.

We want to thank all the young people involved in this project, from planning during the co-design, to painting each individual square, this project is a reflection of the creativity and passion which lies within our community 🌟🖌🌟

The NSW SES Griffith Unit is excited to have the opportunity to participate in the NSW SES Youth Internship Program for Year 9 and 10 students. This excellent initiative encourages young people to step outside their comfort zones while providing valuable opportunities to develop professional skills, gain real-world experience, and build confidence for their future careers.

The program runs for 10 weeks commencing in Term 3 on a Wednesday afternoon from 4.30pm - 6.30pm. Training lasts for 90mins with a BBQ at the end of the night.

There is no cost to attend this program.

At the completion of the NSW SES Youth Internship Program, a graduation ceremony will be held where a Senior Officer of the NSW SES may attend as well as the Local Council, State and Federal Members, school representatives and families of the Youth Intern.
