Run by the it's one of the premier spots for WA writers for workshops and events, or even just a solid writing sesh - it even has its own research library! With lush native gardens surrounding the cottage, you'd think you were hours instead of minutes away from the city of Perth.

About last Friday night - the ever joyous launched her debut novel The River Whispers at while the sun set over the Swan River.

What a gorgeous event to be a part of! It is an honour and inspiration being surrounded by such creative people and attending events like this.

In September, I had the opportunity to capture the Associated Country Women's of the World's conference in Griffith.

Partnering with the CWA, delegates from the South Pacific Islands gathered here for Strength and Sustainability in the South Pacific conference. It was fascinating the hear the discussions of finding, reviving and preserving cultural identities across generations and continents.

Representatives from PNG, Tuvalu, Fiji, Tonga and the Solomon Islands were all in attendance, along with other national and international chapters of the CWA and ACWW.
