Immediate start providing one on one support helping jobseekers achieve their employment goals. Working within an inclusive team, you have the opportunity to make a real difference to people and your community.
GCESS is a not-for-profit Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) provider that has been established since 1992. IEA is funded by the Australian Government to help people living with disability, injury or health condition find and keep a job, and help employers find the right people to keep their business moving.

Heidi Bevege – Employment Engagement Specialist from GCESS has been assisting and supporting Kelli to find suitable employment. After discussions with her about her skills and type and her passion to help within the community to find meaningful and sustainable employment. Heidi spoke with Kath from AA & KE Luca about a customer service position and felt this opportunity would be perfect for Kelli. Heidi organised a work trial and Kelli made a sale on the first day with welcoming arms from all the Team at AA & KE Luca. Kellie said this position is rewarding and she feels good and comfortable and supported by the team.
Chris her Training and placement officer has been supporting her with clothing and PPE for her workplace for comfort and support.
Kath from AA & KE Luca has offered Kelli training and has been very understanding and supportive to make her feel welcomed. Kelli is happy and thankful for our support for this opportunity.

Heidi Bevege – Employer Engagement Specialist from GCESS met Jayden for support to find suitable employment.
As Heidi got to find out more about his skills and what was suitable for him, Heidi managed to find him a great position with Jordan from Hope Island Gardening with the support from Emmett, his Training and Placement officer, assisting him with PPE gear and ongoing support.
Jordan has been supporting Jadyen with duties and responsibilities working with the Team. Jayden is really enjoying getting back into it and employer is happy with his team management skills. Jayden is excited for future opportunities with the company.

GCESS has supported Sarsha in securing employment as she sought a career change to develop additional skills. She has commenced a position as an Administration Assistant with Steve at Combined Wellness Solutions, with support from Michelle her Employment Consultant. Michelle provided PPE and mentoring to help Sarsha feel confident in her first days at work. Steve has been welcoming and supportive, providing patient and understanding training. Sarsha is grateful for the opportunity and for the support received from GCESS, and is enjoying the role and settling in well.

Coles Surfers celebrated Georgie's 25 years of service at the store.
They decorated in pink (Georgie's favourite colour), over catered, have her gifts and was attended by half a dozen ex managers as well as current and passed coworkers and Georgie's mum.
It really demonstrated what an impact Georgie had made and how much she is appreciated.

A heartfelt thank you to Upper Coomera State College for hosting this morning’s Business Alliance Breakfast at Dreamworld.
Despite the challenging weather, the atmosphere was filled with positivity and enthusiasm. We were honoured to hear from two inspiring guest speakers: Jason Linkhardt from Bendigo Bank and Dr David Tuffley from Griffith University, who both shared valuable insights with the audience. About You
You’re a proactive and compassionate professional who thrives on helping others succeed. You bring a solution-focused mindset and a commitment to inclusive practices.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
One year’s experience in the employment, community or human services field.
Formal qualifications in employment services or a relevant field as related to the business of GCESS or a willingness to complete Cert IV qualification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
Current Driver’s License
Working with Children Check
Current First Aid Certificate

GCESS Extends Gratitude to Miami State High School and King's Christian College Pimpama
GCESS was honoured to be invited to participate in two outstanding school events this week: the Careers Evening at King's Christian College Pimpama on Tuesday, followed by the Pathways Evening at Miami State High School on Wednesday.
