🌊 Warm Ripple – What a Wonderful Day 💙

Today we held our first Warm Ripple Pop-Up at ELIA Wellness Hub in Norlane.

While it was a quieter day than we had hoped for, we are incredibly grateful for every person and family who came through the doors.

✨ 15 households/families supported

✨ Approximately 32 adults assisted

✨ Children's clothing also found new homes

✨ Countless conversations, connections and smiles shared

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers – Micah, Eli, Kerry and everyone who helped behind the scenes with sorting, setting up, promoting and supporting the event.

Thank you also to ELIA Wellness Hub, NACC Community Centre, our donors and community supporters.

Every donated item, shared post and word-of-mouth recommendation helped create another ripple of kindness.

Today wasn't just about clothing. It was about warmth, dignity, connection and reminding people that their community cares.

This was our very first Warm Ripple Pop-Up, and we're excited to see where the ripples lead next.

Today we open the doors to our very first Warm Ripple Pop-Up.

What started as an idea, a conversation, and a dream has become a reality thanks to the kindness, generosity and support of so many people.

Today we'll be welcoming our community with:

As I sit here this morning, I'm feeling excited, nervous, grateful and incredibly blessed.

Thank you to everyone who donated clothing, shared our posts, volunteered their time, encouraged me when I doubted myself, and helped turn a little ripple into something real.

Today isn't just about clothing.

It's about warmth.

It's about dignity.

It's about community.

It's about people coming together and reminding each other that kindness still matters. 💙

No matter what happens today, my heart is already full.

Today we began formalising our partnership with the Thai and Lao Community in Geelong. We feel that this is a natural progression of our work with this wonderful community that has done so much for our community.

📣 New program announcement 📣

Starting on Tuesday 23 June and running through the school holidays is our new, student placement run Happy Hours program. Unlike a traditional happy hour, we are serving barista beverages and a social snack. We will also have centre resources like the sewing machines, big screen, art activities and board games on offer. You can also just come to have a cuppa and a chat. It's an open invitation to connect.
