Footy's Favourite Farmer celebrates first female farmer - Play AFL For the first time in the history of the competition, the monthly winner of WorkSafe's Footy's Favourite Farmer is a female farmer, Elise Hill from Cudgewa.

Applications for the 2026 WorkSafe Club Safety Fund are open until June 28. ⏳

Country football clubs affiliated with AFL Victoria can apply for financial assistance of up to $5,000 to make essential safety upgrades and repairs to their facilities and grounds, helping provide a safer environment for players, volunteers and spectators. 🦺🏉

A dedicated dairy farmer and much-loved member of the Cudgewa Football Netball Club in the Upper Murray Football Netball League, Elise goes above and beyond for her club and community. From first aid and fundraising to volunteering across countless roles, she’s always there to lend a hand.

After enduring bushfires and a heartbreaking loss, Elise has continued to support those around her, becoming a trusted mentor, championing mental health, and helping players and families both on and off the field.

Elise embodies everything this award stands for: resilience, generosity and community spirit.
