🌙✨ still getting used to sketching on the iPad, but I’m slowly working it out. this sketch is one of those unfinished on purpose type things.

after 6 weeks in physiotherapy rehab, I was finally discharged yesterday and am so glad to be home 😊🩶 I broke my ankle in 3 places in late November, was operated on in early December, 2 weeks later I dislocated my knee, spent xmas and new years as an inpatient, did physio every single day, learnt how to get around in a wheelchair, and worked with my doctors, OTs, physiotherapists, nurses, and specialists to navigate life more safely with my diagnosis of CIDP.

one of the hardest parts for me was realising I couldn’t draw like I used to, pen on paper. I can’t do the small details and with the rate of mistakes I was making, nothing was getting done. I’ve had to finally make peace with sketching on the iPad. It’s not the same, but I’m practicing heaps and I hope folks still like my work - the whole hand drawn aspect has always been so very important to me. But we all need to adapt and I’m just grateful that I’m still able to sketch and design.

it’s been a super intense 6 weeks and now I’m looking forward to adjusting to my new normal of being in a wheelchair most of the time. Lumi is loving being wheeled about as she sits with me 😊🐶👩🏻‍🦽
