This is the result of a hard working young man deciding to owner build his own house, now almost a beautiful home, 40 min out of Perth, WA! Very happy to have helped you designing it Justin.

We had such a great time last weekend at our straw bale building workshop. HUGE thanks to all who attended with enthusiasm, great progress was made! Big thanks to Katy and Keith for hosting it!

Learn how to build a strawbale house using the GREB technique!

There are many good reasons to choose to build with strawbales—better thermal performance, non-toxic material, agricultural waste product, low embodied energy, very high levels of insulation,etc.

One of the best ways to give yourself the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful build is to do a strawbale workshop. If you have no prior architectural or building experience, this theoretical ad practical workshop will provide you with enough of an understanding of different strawbale building techniques as well as hands-on experience with some of the unique aspects of building with bales with a focus on the GREB building method.

Lowlands (near Denmark) WA from 20 to 22 of November 2020.
