Reflections from Philanthropy Week. πŸŒŸπŸ’œ

True philanthropy isn't just about charity, it's about community leadership, vision, and looking after one another.

This week, ChaplainWatch Chair Ross Howe and State Operations Manager Dylan Clendinning had the privilege of attending the Queensland Philanthropy Awards and Launch at Parliament House. It was an inspiring room filled with organisations dedicated to lifting up Queensland communities.

To be recognised on this stage and named as a recipient of the Queensland Community Foundation General Fund grant is a moment of immense gratitude for our entire team.

Every dollar granted to ChaplainWatch is a lifeline that transforms into on-the-spot first aid, a safe walk home for a vulnerable person, or immediate trauma triage for bystanders at a critical incident.

Thank you to QCF and to every philanthropist, big and small, who ensures that no one in our community has to navigate a dark moment alone.

Regional Spotlight: Watching out for the beautiful Bundaberg community!

When you think of Bundaberg, you might think of rich sugarcane fields, world-famous local blends, and a bustling hub of international travelers. But when the sun goes down on the weekend, we think of our phenomenal Bundy Street Crews!

Every Friday and Saturday night, our dedicated Bundy teams pull on the purple vests to watch over a wonderfully diverse crowd, from lifelong locals out for dinner, to backpackers experiencing regional Queensland for the very first time.

Our mission in Bundy is simple: to ensure that when "good times go bad," nobody is left to figure it out alone. Whether it's stepping in with essential first aid, providing a calm space to rest and recalibrate, or ensuring a safe es**rt to a taxi or rideshare, the Bundy crew is always on the ground.

We are incredibly proud of our regional volunteers who give up their own weekends to keep Bundaberg’s nightlife safe, vibrant, and welcoming for everyone.

Sending a massive shout-out to our amazing Bundy team! Drop a πŸ’œ in the comments to show them some local love!

Every message of thanks we receive belongs entirely to our incredible volunteer crews who give up their Friday and Saturday nights to keep others safe.

Our street teams don't look at circumstances, choices, or mistakes, they only look at how they can help a person get home safely.

If you see our team out in the nightlife precinct tonight, know that they are there for you, completely without agenda.

Did you know that ChaplainWatch doesn't just watch over your night time streets? Our mission extends right into the heart of regional hubs, including our incredible team up in Gladstone!

Every single weekend, our dedicated Gladstone Street Crews pull on their purple vests and step out into the local nightlife precincts. Their mission is simple: to provide a non-judgmental safety net for patrons when "good times go bad."

From administering essential first aid to providing a safe place for rest and recovery and a reassuring, safe es**rt to a vehicle or taxi, our Gladstone volunteers are a vital pillar of the community's nightlife safety.

We are so proud of our regional teams who give up their Friday and Saturday nights to ensure their local streets remain safe, vibrant, and welcoming for everyone.

Shout out to our amazing Gladstone crew! Give them a πŸ’œ in the comments if you've seen them out and about!

We’re still smiling after the Sunshine Coast celebration!

Our community turned out in force to celebrate and support 5 years of NightWatch on the Sunny Coast. To everyone who bought a ticket, bid on a prize, or simply shared a smile with us at the Alex Surf Club - thank you.

A truly special, heartfelt thank you goes to the incredible team at the Alex Surf Club. Your immense generosity and unwavering support didn't just give us a beautiful backdrop for the evening, it ensured that 100% of the funds raised go directly to keeping our purple vests on the streets, watching out for you when good times go bad.

A huge shout out to our other amazing generous sponsors:
- Maleny Jewellers (thank you for the gorgeous earrings!)
- Strike Bowling
- Zyped Nightclub
- Ariane Premium Vodka

We are so proud to look after this community, and even prouder to be supported by it. Here's to the next 5 years! πŸ₯‚πŸŒŠ
