After fifteen years of exploration at the intersection of geology and illumination, Christopher Boots presents GENESIS: the studio’s inaugural collection of limited-edition works. Each piece distills the practice’s signature forms through material transformation—lapis lazuli, verdigris brass, gradient quartz, and cast bronze—into numbered editions that mark a new chapter for the studio.

GENESIS was presented at this year’s Melbourne Art Fair.

Over the past couple of years, Meridian has been commissioned to cast the World Surf League ( ) trophies for both the men’s and women’s tours.

Each piece is cast in bronze and finished with a silver nitrate patina, giving it its classic, unmistakable look.

Last year’s trophies were awarded to Molly Picklum ( , Australia) and Yago Dora ( , Brazil), winners of the 2025 World Surf League Championship Titles at the Lexus WSL Finals in Fiji, held at Cloudbreak.

Last year, we partnered with UAP () to deliver a series of private workshops for architects interested in expanding their knowledge of lost-wax bronze casting. Held in Brisbane and Melbourne, the workshops explored how this technique can be applied to architectural and product design outcomes.

We’ve since seen some exceptional results come through the foundry. Pictured here are recent workshop pieces by (in order) Isabella White, Emma Tulloch, and Rosalyn Fraser.
