VILLA ITALIA
Villa Italia reimagines a classic Victorian terrace in Brunswick East as a second-generation family home. Responding to the site’s compact footprint, the renovation and extension carefully curate open-plan living through a series of custom multi-functional elements, including a central bookshelf that anchors the interior.

HERITAGE IN COBURG
Located along one of Coburg’s distinguished boulevards of heritage estates, this residential project is now nearing construction completion and moving toward handover.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The project began with the careful restoration of a Victorian residence, re-establishing the defining qualities of the original home, including red brick façades, a steeply pitched red clay tile roof, ornate lattice detailing and period windows. These heritage elements have been restored with a restrained contemporary sensibility and complemented by sympathetic landscaping and site works.

At Cornerstone House, the gap between the two pitched roof structures becomes a small passageway linking the kids’ rooms and encouraging interaction, whilst also allowing afternoon sun to access the pool deck for long summer afternoons.

At Project281 Cafe and Roastery in Brunswick, remnants of industrial building sites are sculpturally arranged as planters, with overgrowth suggesting nature reclaiming the space. Positioned at the entry, the installation establishes a subtle separation to the banquettes and dining area.

In Three Stories North, the kids’ rooms embrace the industrial warehouse fabric, adding character to the spaces. Favourite toys are framed within the fireplace, beneath exposed timber ceilings. Swipe to see the kids’ bathroom with its period cast iron bathtub.

We’ve enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with Monash University, encompassing a multi-stage renovation of their impressive student accommodation facilities at Clayton Campus. The work has progressively updated kitchens, bathrooms, staff accommodation, and bedrooms for over 1500 students. The latest scope comprising 3 buildings was completed over the summer holidays on a demanding time schedule.
