Something More Than Good. Out January 2025. He's 100 shows down, and has 100 more to go to hit his target by the end of 2013. A full time job it definitely is!
Eight year old bio about to be given the hoof:
"From the word go, the audience was immersed in Mark’s use of reverb and tangible vocal ability that did well to compliment his one-man-show." Ross Dunn, Brig newspaper music editor
First cutting teeth in the gigging world at 14, Mark played in a local band for a few years before deciding to perform solo acoustic material from the age of 18. Fortuna
te enough to have played with many amazing fellow local musicians (with some incredible memories to boot), this young man is gradually making a name for himself as a confident, mature performer who thrives on turning any environment into an intimate show. Mark has had many previous residencies, ranging from pubs to four-star hotels - a performer capable of entertaining a wide array of crowds. He currently hosts a weekly open-mic night at Stirling University's Student Union on thursday nights during semester time, and takes residency at 20 Rocks, Falkirk, on thursday nights outwith semester times with a regularly jumping guitaraoke night. Mark regularly performs at pubs and venues across Scotland - though 2012 saw Mark popping up at a few open mics in LA, and in 2013 Mark has set himself the challenge of becoming the most hard-working amateur musician in Scotland for the year. With his clear work ethic on his side, you wouldn't want to be the one who bets against him. The lovely people at Too Much Music had this to say: "One of the hardest working musicians I've come across recently... If you follow Mark on facebook you will know he is always playing gigs and open mic nights, quite relentlessly. You can tell he is dedicated and treats his chosen trade almost like a full time job"
