With infectious diseases threatening global health systems — your donation this Australian EOFY can support RedR Australia to train and deploy our expert roster members.

Aimé is an Australian citizen, born in Burundi, and through RedR Australia he has been able to deploy twice to his motherland — most recently with International Organization for Migration (IOM) helping prevent the spread of highly infectious diseases such as Mpox, Marburg and Ebola.

Aimé's deep humanitarian experience as an Emergency Public Health Officer has enabled him to use both his lived and career experience supporting communities burdened with compounded crises.

“Going back there and working as a senior humanitarian — it’s a good feeling. And it's a good feeling because I’ve learned so much from other parts of the world, particularly in the Asia–Pacific, but also the Middle East and other countries in Africa," said Aimé.

Your donation today can directly help us support the growing number of communities in crisis, including those under threat from fast spreading viral diseases — with deployees from their region.

This Australian End of Financial Year - support us to select, train and deploy even more experts - like RedR Australia roster member, Rebeca.

While the scale and focus have differed in Rebeca’s most recent deployments to Timor-Leste and then Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh - both roles are connected by a common objective: protecting public health.

“...both roles require navigating complexity and uncertainty. What remains consistent is the reward of seeing how coordinated efforts, whether at the community or system level, contribute to meaningful public health outcomes.”

In a year that has already seen intensifying crises across the globe – your donation today directly helps us to support the growing number of communities in crisis.

In a year that has already seen intensifying conflict and political instability, as well as compounding climate-related disasters and disease outbreaks across the globe – your donation today is critically important.

You can support us to train and deploy deeply experienced humanitarian professionals like RedR Australia Roster member, Tai-Ring. From the Solomon Islands to Rwanda, from Nepal to South Sudan and beyond—Tai-Ring has used his engineering skills to help communities gain or regain access to safe water and improved sanitation.

"In Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Bangladesh or Rwanda, my skills are extremely valuable for water supply—like how to repair a water treatment plant, and how to rebuild or create a new water system," shares Tai-Ring.

"And when safe water is available back in the community, you can see the community relax and that normality means the recovery will be ongoing. That's a really good outcome."

This Australian EOFY, help us train and deploy even more experts to support communities in crisis around the world.
