Things feel a little volatile and uncertain right now, don’t they?

With rising inflation, increasing unemployment, and higher operating costs, many business owners are feeling the pressure. Add to that more cautious consumer spending, and it’s easy to see why confidence can dip.

But here’s the important part…
Now, more than ever, it’s crucial to stay connected with your customers.

Keep communicating. Keep marketing.
Remind your audience why your business matters and continue to demonstrate the value you bring to their lives. It goes a long way, especially in uncertain times.

Take a gift shop, for example.
At first glance, you might assume sales would decline as people cut back to essentials.

But look a little deeper…
People still celebrate birthdays.
They still show appreciation, love, and support through thoughtful gestures, especially during tough times.

Life doesn’t stop. And neither does the need to connect (and continue to use products and services)

There’s also strong evidence that businesses that maintain or even increase their marketing during uncertain periods often recover faster and gain a greater share of the market compared to those who go quiet.

In fact, when others pull back, it creates an opportunity for your business to stand out.

So while you’re tightening operations and navigating the challenges…

Stay consistent. Stay visible. Stay connected. Keep marketing.

Because showing up and staying relevant in your customers’ lives is the lifeblood of your business.

A big milestone this week, my eldest has graduated from school. Almost 20 years ago I started my own business so that I could be there for my kids while also building my career and providing for our family. It hasn’t always been easy (the juggle is real) but it’s been worth it for me. I wouldn’t have it any other way 🥰

Over 30 Years of Performance Certainty at ABC Couriers and Logistics.

Why does being family-founded and operated matter?
Because it shapes how we think, work, and deliver — every single day.

At ABC Couriers and Logistics, we’re long-term oriented, thinking in generations, not quarters. Our decisions are about sustainability and care, ensuring the business and our clients thrive well into the future, not just hitting short-term targets.

With family members still actively involved, our shared vision and embedded values drive a culture of trust, one that research consistently shows is a key advantage of family-run organisations.

We’re proud of our loyal, long-serving team, with many staff members building their entire careers here at ABC. Their deep experience and commitment mean our customers enjoy dependable, highly attentive service, a true differentiator in an industry known for high turnover.

Our family leadership also gives us the agility to make fast, effective decisions and adapt quickly, without unnecessary bureaucracy. That’s why we can deliver Solutions in the face of challenges — and stand by our promise of Performance Certainty.

At ABC Couriers and Logistics, being family-owned isn’t just part of our history; it’s the foundation of how we continue to move forward.

I love working with family-founded and owned businesses - just like this great company ABC Couriers 😁 There is a greater sense of purpose and meaning to every success, which makes the strategy and design work I do all the more fulfilling! 🙌
