A good representation on why watches need servicing every 3 - 5 years.
After this time, seals perish allowing dust and moisture to enter the watch causing rust and debris build up. Old lubricants thicken and start to stain the gear train causing irregular behaviour and poor timekeeping.
Always take your watch to a qualified Watchmaker for regular interventions.
