Sad to see the dismantling of ROAM but the future will hold more opportunities for playing with bikes. I am interested in holding workshop mechanics classes still for those that are keen, knowledge is power and if I can help those that want to learn more about maintenance and repairs I am more than happy to do so. 🤘 Thanks to everyone who has supported me and my family throughout our time on the road, it was a dream 5years for me meeting all you riders and most definitely with the Tas Gravity Enduro Series. Hoping to get in amongst the riders next year. Thanks again ROAM ✌️

We are back on the tools next week 🤙 for the next few weeks we have our general service for $80. Don’t miss out on a pre winter service. I also want to offer personal mechanical workshops so if you would like to learn about diagnostic and repairs on your bikes get in touch.

Over the past few days I have had some time to think about the final section the 150km Port Davie/South Coast tracks. I had some interesting days in the last section that were just pure exhausting and painful, from being wet to the bone and my 27kg pack and clothing weighing me down even more, with a few near snake encounters and being attacked by a hive of bees (not good when you are allergic). Pushing through that I found myself in the Denison Range with gusty winds, low visibility and sideways rain only to be fending off rats all night from entering my tent. I decided to cross the Gordon River at the crossing only to encounter the river levels rising, after a couple of hours watching the levels they were still rising, I did manage to cross it which was nerving in itself. So I have decided due to many factors I will postpone my final section to a time that I will actually enjoy walking the coastline. Thanks for all that have followed and I am stoked to have hiked 300+km through the middle of Tasmania. Cheers

And that’s the halfway mark reached. Finally tonight is the 1st real bit of sun I have seen. I have been soaked everyday on this section but dry inside my tent for night, but then it’s morning time and time to put the wet clothes on to start the day again. I have struggled my way through some of the thickest bush in Tasmania to a point I was doing 500-700m an hour. Life was pretty bleak in there and I hit some lows but I am on the other side now and am camped up on Battlement Hills for the night. All else is well. Cheers
