Racing tonight at top end dirt karts for the first round of the season and Fletchers first Ever race meeting. He had some track time last night and was doing well for his first time on the track. Naturally Dad grew one extra grey hair per lap but things ran smoothly so we are ready to go tonight. Fletcher was getting some advice from a fellow competitor which was “hold it flat”.

Late end of season update
The last meeting we ran was the 5th of April at Murray bridge speedway and we were having the best night so far racing down here until the end of the feature race where I tipped it over.

Heat 1
start 8th finish 4th

Heat 2
Start 2nd finish 2nd

We qualified 7th in the A-main out of 30ish cars missing out on the top 6 pole shuffle by one spot.

Feature was a really good race with lots of battles moved my way upto 6th then made a mistake and went back to 8th, driving around the top i unfortunately came into turn 4 abit hot and tagged the wall with the right rear and it was all over.

I have got the maxim stripped down and have purchased another roller to make a back up car that also has been stripped down for some chassis upgrades.

Dennis racing team teams up with Mathew Mclennan McLennan Racing NT13 for Round 3 at Northline Speedway.

This weekend we are back at Murray bridge for a wingless round, tolmer was canceled last week so we are racing this weekend hopefully try get this car to go faster!

Tomorrow night we strap the fluro helmet on for the SA title at mount gambier the third track we have raced at in 6weeks with a decent field of 40+ cars it’s going to be another challenge to make the top 20 but we will try put something together.

Other meetsing coming will be Tolmer speedway on the 12th of April looking Forward to that track looks mint

Australian title night two/Recap

We only ran one heat for the night started 8th finished 8th that put us out of 11th in the Second C main we gave it a good crack having a few battles with other cars and finished up 12th

Overall the title was an awesome weekend with the Calcutta friday night where 400+ people attended met some new people who helped us out.

Big thanks to all the people who helped me out to get there Sophie pope and the pope family lachie and Rachael for being the pit crew.

At the end of the weekend car suffered no damage except for some extreme tyre wear no thanks to my Led foot we have nominated for the SA title in 2 weeks time at mount gambier a new track to me but looking forward to it!
