Crystal Robins

Crystal Robins is a songwriter & musician based in Darwin NT Australia, bringing to the stage a sweet upbeat mix of indie folk & alt country stylings. Growing up within Sydney's vibrant music scene, her obsession with music has lead her to play with numerous bands and travel the country. Notably, she has performed on stage with Karen O (“Yeah Yeah Yeahs”) at The Sydney Opera House for Vivid Live, at Melbourne Cabaret Festival, Darwin Festival, Illawarra Folk Festival and more. Over the past year she was mentored by international star Toni Childs, supported award-winning songwriter Wendy Matthews at Darwin Entertainment Centre, and opened for Daniel Champagne at his two sold-out Darwin shows. Crystal released her debut single "Wildfire" in January, which made it to No 6 on the AMRAP Community Radio Charts, and was also shortlisted in Listen Up Music’s Songwriting Prize 2020. She will release her debut EP mid 2021, an independent release featuring local and interstate collaborations. With a day job as a music therapist Crystal is passionate about the power that music plays in the art of healing. She exemplifies the fact that “music is a powerful art form with the ability to heal through songwriting & storytelling, as both a form of emotional expression, and importantly as a way to connect with others.”
