We’re testing AusAlert in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory tomorrow morning at 10:00 am. 📱
Here’s what you need to know. 👇
A test AusAlert will be sent to all compatible mobile devices near to Tennant Creek Hospital in the Barkly Regional Council area at around 10:00 am on Thursday 18 June 2026.
If you are near the test area with a compatible mobile device, you may receive the alert.
Devices may vibrate and play a siren-like warning sound for about 10 seconds. An AusAlert may appear on your device screen. It will clearly say it is a test. You don't need to do anything.
There will also be a national test on Monday 27 July 2026, at around 1:30 pm ACST. AusAlerts will be sent to all compatible mobile devices in Australia. ⚠️
Ensure you can receive AusAlerts by installing the latest software update and restarting your device. Updates also fix bugs, improve performance and may boost battery life. ✅

Stormwater drain relining works on McMillans Road, between McMillans Services Road and Charles Eaton Drive are underway.
This work will improve the condition of the existing underground stormwater pipes and reduce future maintenance costs.
Construction works will take place from Monday to Saturday (7am – 5pm) for the duration of the works.
From Thursday 26 June, the left lane travelling towards Marrara will be closed for approximately 4 weeks as part of the works. The other lanes will remain open.
Road users are asked to expect delays and comply will all traffic management and signage in place.
Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained throughout the works.
Works are expected to be completed by end-June 2026.
