This Deafblind Awareness Week, we recognise the importance of accessible communication, connection, and inclusive support.

Many people who are deafblind use assistive technology such as braille displays, screen readers, or tactile communication to engage with digital content.

People who are deafblind experience the world in diverse ways.

At Metanoia Rays, we are committed to supporting choice, dignity, and meaningful participation for everyone.

Below the video, text reads “Deafblind Awareness Week”. The Metanoia Rays and We Heart NDIS logos appear at the bottom.

🌟 5 Star Google Review Alert 🌟

Ben Robinson says "Thanks to Metanoia Rays for providing accommodation and support during hard times. Special thanks to Nabin Shrestha who was my main support worker. He supported me to cook and clean my room and the house. Taking me to appointments; nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again".

Thank you Ben for taking the time to provide your feedback. Well done to our 2024 Support Worker of the year, Nabin, showing us all why he received the award last year.

At Metanoia Rays, we are revisiting our Code Word: CARE.

Not just a reminder but a standard for how we show up every day.

C – Connect: Be present
A – Ask: Understand what matters today
R – Respond: Support based on goals
E – Evaluate: Did it truly make a difference?

CARE is not about completing tasks.

It is about meaningful support, guided by the participant’s goals and choices.
Your challenge this week:
In every interaction, ask yourself 'Did I really CARE, or did I just complete a task?'

“What my role feels like…” and Deepa absolutely nailed it.

From roster changes and service agreements to transport, incidents, and that “just one quick thing”… Service Coordination is a constant juggle of people, priorities, and problem solving.

Not just a coordinator. A planner, a listener, a connector, and the steady support behind every participant journey.

And yes… the coffee never stands a chance

Ever wondered what being a Service Coordinator really feels like?

This AI generated image of Shankar from our Darwin office aka 'air traffic control tower' sums it up best. Balancing participants, rosters, incidents, compliance, funding, documentation, and everything in between… all at once.

Behind every smooth service is a Coordinator working hard to keep it all in the air.

We see you, we appreciate youđź’™.
