Shire Women in Business Lunch - May Edition | SLAM Society Tired of running your business solo? Ready to find your local business tribe? Join our intimate circle of businesswomen for lunch by the seaside. Real conversations, genuine connections, and that "finally, someone gets it" feeling.
15 women. Rain pouring outside. Margaritas flowing. Tacos disappearing. 💃🌮🍹
And the craziest part? The majority of the girls came solo.
Women walking into a room full of strangers on a Thursday night, backing themselves enough to start new conversations and make new connections — and honestly, that’s such a powerful thing. ❤️
Last Thursday reminded me exactly why I started SLAM. Despite the rain, 15 absolutely gorgeous women showed up — some nervous, some brand new, some stepping way outside their comfort zone… and within minutes the room felt warm, easy and full of energy.
There’s something so special about watching women walk in alone and leave laughing with new friends, exchanging numbers, planning coffee dates, talking business ideas, motherhood, travel, relationships and life like they’ve known each other for years.
To every girl who came solo — I hope you’re proud of yourself. Because it takes courage to put yourself out there, especially as an adult when making genuine friendships can feel harder than ever.
And to our returning SLAM girls, thank you for always making new faces feel so welcome from the second they arrive. That’s the kind of community we’re building here. ❤️
