But you can join the Naked Racer team for great coffee and a small group ride to the start of DGR Melbourne 2024. And remember to register for DGR to contribute to fundraising for men’s health research.

Mid Life Cycles is closed. After 15 years, we’ve decided to call it a day. The costs of doing business - monetary and personal - outweighed the satisfaction of doing it well and working with a great community of suppliers and customers.
Time to return to motorcycling as a rewarding experience - riding, designing and building.

Royal Enfield Ride to Naked Racer.

Mid Life Cycles bikes and builds featured prominently at the recent Royal Enfield Night Ride. Three of the five Rajah-style customs attended, along with our Conti GT Salt Racer replica, modified Super Meteor and plenty of nicely-modded 650 Twins.

A great stocking filler: Royal Enfield bookazine (magazine-sized book) by Richard Skelton traces the history of Royal Enfield, its people and all significant models through to Himalayan 411, Interceptor and GT Twins and Classic / Meteor 350s. $29.95 plus P&H. A great read.

Roll with fellow Royal Enfield enthusiasts on an epic Summer Night Ride on Thursday 14 December 2023. Kick off the ride at Station Pier, Port Melbourne – gather from 6:00 pm and let the good times roll by 6:30 pm. Our final pitstop? Naked Racer, 1 Grange Road, Cheltenham, with an ETA of 7:00 pm.

Royal Enfield’s Shotgun 650 is a base for customisation: More a Bobber-in-the-making than its Super Meteor Cruiser counterpart, it’s gone down the Dark road on fixtures and fittings and features a floating leather solo seat.
Our Super Mutant project bike is heading the same direction as we progressively black-out the previously silver mounts and features around the front end, cut back the rear number plate mounting and fit neat LED turn signals close into the bodywork. The brass detail on the turn signals echoes our Brass Rajah bobber of six years ago - and that also featured a floating leather solo saddle… a design element set to return on Super Mutant. And that small HRA badge? THAT is where the mutant emerges - a small badge that says Hallam 865 big-bore and all the trimmings for a tsunami of torque to propel Super Mutant!

Royal Enfield’s inspirational boss Siddhartha Lal calls the limited edition Shotgun 650 a “…modular, shape-shifting machine that is almost like a mutant disguised as a motorcycle.”
A mutant? We like that because it’s the in-house project name for our new custom Super Mutant…errr Meteor! We have the plate to prove it. And custom work in progress to back that up. More to come.
