HANDMADE CANBERRA is in three sleeps. THREE! The studio is a hive of production and packaging. I am tripping over myself with things stacked up everywhere waiting to be loaded into the car, and the to-do list is slowly being whittled down.
Here is a sneek peek of what you will be able to see on the weekend :

You'll find me in the main pavilion in stall 55, saturday and sunday 10 - 4 this weekend.

The affirmation that I pulled today was "I AM WORTHY"
and I deserve all the love, joy and abundance life has to offer.

This card was such a reminder that I am worthy. I don't talk about it often, but every morning and night, I write down three things I am grateful for - the rain, the order that came in over night, that we aren't sick at the moment etc.
But this past six months, I have also added three things I am worthy of. I start the sentece "I am truly worthy..' and fill in the rest. Sometimes it about loving myself as I am, sometimes it is having a strong back and sometimes it is about resting with out guilt. And this card today reminded me that I am worthy of all these things, and more.

And maybe this is your sign to start a gratitude practice and tack on a worthy practice to it. 💕

'IF ONLY I WERE A LITTLE BRAVER' of course has been carefully packed for markets this weekend.

If you've been following along on the blog, you'll know this painting arrived in a dream before it ever appeared on canvas, and you’ll know there were some hiccups along the way. (You can read that story on my website)

Unless she happens to find her forever home first, she'll also be coming to Handmade, and I love that in person, you will be able to see the textures, the hidden layers, the tiny details and colours which are difficult to capture in photographs.

She's one of those paintings that really rewards seeing her in person, and I can't wait to hear what you think of her.

Every time I look at her, I find myself asking the same question: "What would I do if I were just a little bit braver?"

And honestly, I think that's a question worth carrying around.

I’m returning to markets in June after taking a much-needed break over summer and the studio has entered its chaotic creatrix era ✨

There are paintings everywhere, half-finished signs, notebooks piling up, anxiety dreams happening almost nightly, and approximately seven cups of cold tea scattered around the studio.

Nobody tells you that preparing for a handmade market is basically:� 50% creativity�40% adrenaline and �10% trying to remember that really important thing you just thought of that you wanted to write down before you forgot about it 😂

Behind every handmade market stall is:�
✨ a thousand tiny decisions�
✨ lots of late nights
�✨ amazing ideas at 3am
�✨ discarding half of your plans
�✨ and an artist hoping people connect with something they made from the heart.
