Cute little native marsupial visitors to our garden here at Eden Rest....Cooroy being an aboriginal name for place of many possums.

Gabriel our Aracuna hen laid her first highly anticipated china blue shelled egg today...! Our Barnevelder hens, Haniel and Jophiel, lay the chocolate brown eggs with Cherub our Black Australorp hen laying a light brown egg.
What a joy it is to collect freshly laid eggs each day..!

'Smoke on the Water 2017' the much anticipated Woodfire Ceramics National Conference is coming to a close in Cooroy this weekend. Eden Rest has had the pleasure of hosting 3 inspiring artists who have had a chance to catch up with international and nationally acclaimed potters. There has been Pottery, kilns and fire, friends and music and glorious winter sunshine.

The beautiful Annick and always charming husband John from 'Maison Aroma' handmade soaps, spent the weekend here with us at Eden Rest. Annick and John can be found at Agnes Waters market with their Handmade & Eco friendly lifestyle products. All guests staying with us here at Eden Rest are indulged with one of their luxurious guest soaps.

The blooming of our beautiful Cattleya Orchid coincided with Cooroy's hosting of the Noosa District Mother's day Orchid & Foliage Show in the C.W.A hall. This particular orchid which is growing happily in our Poinciana Tree was my Grandmothers pride and joy, and is over 50yrs old. We often find our guests sitting under the tree enjoying it's serenity.
