Kids need to be kids – noisy, spontaneous, dirty, chaotic and unpredictable and no they don’t need to be manipulated to be kind, committed and motivated!

So let’s revisit the notion of rewards in our playgroups, school halls and car parks, coffee shops and in social media and help build self-directed, self-motivated kids and adolescents."

Our teen crew have created their own interpretations of the Greek myth of “King Midas and his Golden Touch.”

✨Reflection. At the end of each day we gather in circle to reflect on our day. We roll a beautiful “cube of discussion” which prompts us to reflect on what we feel, what we have learned, want more of, less of, what we wonder and what we would change.
It’s a critical part of our day that offers time to validate us as individuals, pause, consider and be heard.

Our Innovators crew have been enjoying play and exploration of our new 3D printers.
We love that our learners can go from studying fire and stomping through creeks on a Tuesday; then into 3D modelling and diving into technology capabilities the next day; then into exploring mysteries of the natural world and planning businesses the next☺️
✨It’s that high tech - low tech quest for equilibrium👌🏼

🐢This week we were treated to a “turtle talk” by the lovely Susan of Coolum & North Shore Coast Care
✨This was a wonderful full-circle learning opportunity as last block when exploring “planet”, much enthusiastic advocacy arose for the protection of our local turtles.
✨We were also honoured to present Susan with a cheque for $850.00 - the funds raised by our community during block 2 celebration week!
