This cucumber and chicken wrap is perfect for lunch on the go, in the garden soaking up the sun, or for the packed lunch box! π₯¬
Ingredients:
β’ 1 ounce of cream cheese at room temperature
β’ ΒΌ medium avocado, mashed
β’ 1 teaspoon lemon juice
β’ β
teaspoon salt & β
teaspoon ground pepper
β’ 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs
β’ 1 whole-wheat tortilla
β’ ΒΌ cup shredded cooked chicken
β’ 2 tablespoons of shredded carrot
β’ 6 thin slices of cucumber
β’ Β½ cup mixed salad greens
Method:
1. Stir cream cheese, avocado, lemon juice, salt and pepper together in a small bowl. Add herbs and stir until well blended. Spread the mixture evenly on tortilla. Top with chicken, carrot, cucumber and greens, then roll up like a burrito.

Tackling bad (simple) carb cravings during the Metabolic Balance program can be a game-changer for your health journey! π₯
Learn to incorporate complex carbohydrates like whole grains, sweet potatoes, and legumes into your meals, as these provide sustained energy and keep blood sugar levels stable while reducing cravings.
It's also worth practising mindfulness by recognising when you're truly hungry versus craving carbs out of habit or stress.

Get your Friday off to a flying start with this spinach omelette! π
Ingredients:
β’ 2 large eggs
β’ 1 teaspoon oil of your choice
β’ 1 cup spinach
β’ 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese or your cheese alternative
β’ 1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
Method:
1. Whisk eggs in a small bowl. Heat oil in a small non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, tilting to coat the pan. Pour in the eggs and immediately stir with a rubber spatula for 5 to 10 seconds. Then push the cooked portions at the edge toward the centre, tilting the pan to allow uncooked egg to fill in around the edges.
2. Continue to cook until almost set and the bottom is light golden, about 1 minute total.
3. Remove from heat and top half the omelette with spinach and Cheddar. Fold the other half over the filling. Slide the omelette onto a plate and sprinkle dill on top.
Serve and enjoy! π³

Actually, that's not true!
While simple carbs found in sugary snacks and processed foods can wreak havoc on your blood sugar levels, complex carbs are your body's friend. Complex carbs, like whole grains, veggies, etc. are a valuable source of energy and nutrients. π
So, wave goodbye to carb fears and embrace complex carbs as part of your Metabolic Balance journey! π
