Waxing and rolling the hair this is totally a waste of time when washed they all come out again. Rubber bands at the base of the dreads,OK if you don't mind seeing rubber,Cotton wrapping the loose hair like rubber banding you will see the cotton,I have even seen black silicone used this is not cool what happened to natural forming dreads, perm solution is mostly used in salons this is so bad,not natural it will weaken your dreads and end up breaking off way to costly.Then there is crochet hooking this method is all natural great result,down side takes a long time and costly.and the final one is monkey locking,simply we grab all those loose hair with a special hooked latch and pull then into the middle of the dread and loop it together give you a tight looking dread that will last over 4 weeks less time and cost effective. www.dare2.com.au

If you do not wash your hair it will stink. Dreadlocked hair needs to be washed regularly just like Normal straight hair . dreads need to be washed . Clean hair will actually lock up faster than dirty or oily hair. Because nearly every soap and shampoo on the market contains residues it was thought that clean hair does not dread quickly, when in fact it is the residues in the soaps that prevent hair from locking up. This is why we recommend washing you dreads with monkey locks soaps and shampoos.
