Running and musing. Musing and running. And more recently, a whole lot of walking.

Spent some of my sunday kneeling in the grass on the side of the road in the ANU. Elbows in the grass, bum in the air, happy as a pig in mud....the mud bit...literal!! 😋

After some careful Google maps analysis this week I discerned that Queanbeyan parkrun is much closer to home than Gungahlin or Wagi Bridge, genius, right?....So I'll probably try and increase my number of runs there, in order to get my P-Index up to 10. I'm at two runs now, only eight to go. And one more needed at Tuggers too.

But I'm simultaneously trying to extend my Wilson Index....which is currently 30. Unfortunately I missed #31 at Woden back in May, because I was up in the Blueys. My best chance to remedy that, I think, will be in November, when Ulladulla gets to 31. In the mean time I'll keep plugging in holes as it becomes possible.

Yes, I need little games like this to keep me going. What can I say? 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was totally worth the drive to visit Queanbeyan today too. The river was all misty and 😍!

Have a great weekend 🥰.

Three kilometre amble through the Botanic Gardens this morning, followed by some delish lunch at Pollen. Just looking at the picture makes my mouth water 🤤! Hope you enjoyed your weekend peepers 🥰.

Mini and me smashed it out at Woden Town parkrun this morning. Mini got himself a new parkrun PB of 23:01 which I think is absolutely fantastic work 💪🏻💪🏻.

Then he comes back and finds me on course....still plodding along, way out in the middle of the roundabout...and paces me home. He's darn good company ❤️!

It's been a bit of a 💩 week, so I'm pretty glad it's over.

I went to/from Woden Town parkrun on foot this morning (well, mostly on foot....I did catch a bus from Mawson to Wanniassa on the way home because I was over it by then).

15 km all up. About 10 km jogging and 5 km hiking. Have a lovely weekend! 🥰

It's been a huge five days up in the Blueys. Over the three UTA 2026 event days I helped to sweep approximately 35 km on course, in three different events, climbed Furber twice and did a bunch of other climbing along the cliffs on Saturday (approx 2000 metres gain in total...I think).

I had a blast. I hope everyone who came up for the event had an amazing time. Sleep well 😴 !!

Today was a little sweep session for the Miler from Aquatic to Fairmont. The weather was fantastic and the views were amazing along the cliffs...although I failed to capture any images 🤪.

A quick sushi train for dinner in Katoomba and now it's lights out o'clock!! 😴

With the weather up in the Blueys being somewhat...damp, and with me just car camping here, I've missed quite a few meals due to not wanting to cook in the rain and cold (everything under my awning is wet 😣).

So when my shift at registration finished today I hightailed it up to Katoomba (on a public bus because it stops right outside my accommodation, and I could not be bothered walking back to KCC to catch a free shuttle 🫣). I did a little shopping and wrote some postcards in the lovely warm and dry library. Then, the very second that my favourite place to eat in Katoomba - Sanwiye Korean Restaurant - opened (5 pm) I was there! I was not the only one either...this place is popular!

I had steamed vege dumplings AND noodles AND they gave me a complimentary bowl of Kimchi. Delicious! I all but licked the bowls clean. I was SO hungry 🤪.

Now I can barely keep my eyes open. Night night!

Five hours on race registration for the 50 and 100 this morning simply flew by in seconds. Now I'm hunting for food 😋!

I hope those running the 22 had a fantastic time out on the trails!! 🥰

I'm very excited and privileged to have helped sweep the UTA11 today!! What an absolute buzz it was. I'm going to sleep really well tonight! 😋
