Most parents do not need another random tip. 🀍
They need to understand what's happening underneath the moment. Why the yelling happens. Why the guilt comes afterwards. Why one small behaviour can trigger such a big response. Why repair feels hard. Why old family patterns show up even when you promised yourself you'd do things differently.
Parenting transformation isn't about collecting more scripts. It's about learning how to regulate, reconnect, repair, and lead from a steadier place inside yourself.

The beauty of birth isn't that everything goes perfectly.
It's finding the strength to navigate the unexpected while feeling supported every step of the way.
After their first birth experience, Bilal and Chelsea carried valuable lessons into the birth of their second baby. With the right support, continuous care, trust in the process, and confidence built from experience, they were able to embrace the journey with a different perspective.
Hours of waiting.
Moments of uncertainty.
A team that listened.
A partner who stayed present.
And then, the moment every parent waits for...
Holding your baby for the very first time and realizing every challenge, every contraction, every emotion was worth it.
Birth isn't just about bringing a baby into the world.
It's about discovering your strength, deepening your connection, and trusting yourself in ways you never imagined possible.
❀️ Every birth has a story. What was the biggest lesson your birth experience taught you?

Birth fear does not always look dramatic. 🀍
Sometimes it looks like over-researching. Sometimes it looks like avoiding the topic. Sometimes it looks like needing every detail controlled. Sometimes it looks like saying "I'm fine" while your body tightens. Sometimes it looks like feeling angry whenever someone says, "Your body knows what to do."
Fear doesn't need to be judged. It needs to be understood. And supported.
Because when fear is gently worked with before birth, you can often access more calm, flexibility, and confidence during birth.

The early weeks and months after birth are not just about learning how to care for a baby. 🀍
They're also about meeting yourself as a mother. And that can be tender, beautiful, messy, lonely, unexpected β€” sometimes all in the same day.
You might love your baby and miss your old life. You might feel grateful and overwhelmed. You might feel capable one moment and completely undone the next.
This doesn't mean you're doing it wrong. It means you're in a profound transition.
Thriving as a New Mum was created to support that becoming β€” practically, emotionally, and gently.

Just Follow My Breathing
At one point during labour, Chelsea said it felt intense.
Bilal didn't try to fix it.
He didn't try to talk over it.
He simply said:
"Follow my breathing and we'll do it together."
Sometimes love isn't about having the answers.
It's about being present.
The strongest support often comes from someone willing to walk through the hard moments beside you.
❀️ Send this to someone who has been your safe place.

Conscious pregnancy is not about being serene every day.
It's not about drinking the perfect tea, buying the perfect journal, or glowing on command.
Conscious pregnancy is about becoming aware of what's rising β€” the fears, the expectations, the stories you inherited, the pressure to be a certain kind of parent, the hopes you barely say out loud, the way your relationship is changing, the way your body is asking for trust.
When pregnancy is held consciously, it becomes more than waiting for birth. It becomes preparation for becoming.

A birth debrief is not just retelling your story. 🀍
It's making sense of what happened in your body, your emotions, your expectations, your choices, and your nervous system.
Sometimes birth ends and everyone says, "At least the baby is healthy." But something inside you may still be carrying the experience β€” confusion, grief, shock, disappointment, anger, numbness, or a sense that you never got to fully land.
Your story deserves space. Not to stay stuck in it β€” but to integrate it.

You Don't Need To Control Everything
One of the most powerful lessons from this conversation:
You don't need to control every step of the journey.
Pregnancy teaches it.
Birth teaches it.
Parenting teaches it.
The more we try to force certainty, the more frustrated we become.
The more we learn to trust ourselves and adapt, the more confident we become.
Sometimes the greatest growth happens when we stop trying to control everything.
❀️ Save this reminder for a difficult parenting day.

When your child’s behaviour sends you from calm to furious in seconds, it can feel like something is wrong with you.
But often, you are not overreacting. You are activated.
Your nervous system is reading something as threat. Your body may be remembering old patterns. Your child may have touched a place in you that was never properly held.
This is not about blaming your past. It's about understanding why parenting can feel so intense β€” and learning how to respond from regulation instead of reaction.
This is the heart of Trigger to Trust.
If parenting is bringing up reactions you don't want to keep repeating, explore Trigger to Trust. Link in bio.
