There are seasons in training where nothing seems to click. The pace isn’t where you want it to be, your body feels unfamiliar, and every run leaves you questioning whether you’re doing enough.

But sometimes the most important thing isn’t the run itself.. it’s the people beside you. The ones who remind you that your worth isn’t measured by a watch, a pace, or a training week. The ones who see your effort when all you can see are the things that aren’t going to plan.

I’m learning that on the days when confidence is low, borrowing a little belief from your community can be enough to keep going. And often, that’s exactly what you need until you find your own again. ā¤ļø

If I’m honest, this week hasn’t done much for my confidence.

I’ve had niggles, doubts, sessions that didn’t go to plan, and plenty of moments where I questioned whether I’m ready. It’s easy to feel like one bad week can undo months of hard work, especially when you care so much about the goal.

But running has taught me that confidence isn’t built on perfect training weeks. It’s built on showing up anyway. It’s built on adapting when things don’t go to plan, trusting the work you’ve already done, and remembering that progress isn’t always linear.

The reality is that race day isn’t made by one session, one week, or one setback. It’s made by the countless early mornings, the consistency, the sacrifices, and the decision to keep going even when things feel uncertain.

So instead of focusing on what hasn’t gone right, I’m choosing to focus on what I know: I’ve done the work. I’ve earned my place on that start line. And when race day comes, I’ll be ready to give it everything I have.

Sometimes the toughest weeks become the most important part of the journey because they teach us to trust ourselves when confidence is hardest to find.

Bye bye honey blonde, hello to ashier browns. It was about time that I have a trim and touch up my over grown roots!

For winter i decided to go for a muted neutral colour, nothing too warm, but not cool either. Can we talk about LAYERS!!

From my very first swim lesson… to my first open water swim… and now training more seriously this season. These goggles have been with me through every stage. 🌊

The NanoClearā„¢ Strike Swim Goggles Sunrise Mirror have genuinely been tried and tested by me. Comfortable, clear vision, no constant adjusting mid-swim… just effortless swimming every session.

Safe to say they’ve officially earned a permanent spot in my swim bag šŸ¤
