At the front of the house the entertainment features continue with an outdoor fireplace and kitchen including a pizza oven. Off the back of the house, we built a double carport with a gable roof to suit the style of the home and to compliment the monument cladding. This carport leads right into the mud room, a perfect entry space after performing farm duties.

The clients worked with Glow Building Design to provide a well conceptualised vision of what they wanted to achieve; a stylish modern farmhouse. Their design focus was on creating three separate zones within the home. Being just a two-bedroom property, this focus enables the feeling of intimacy and spaciousness at the same time. The concept was to have their central living space, with a main wing and guest wing on either side. The Main wing and Guest wing of the house each have designer wallpaper feature walls and spectacular bedside light fittings. The bedroom windows exhibit large views of rolling hills. The ensuite, main bathroom and powder room showcase stunning feature tiles, niches with LED strip lighting and LED mirrors.

There is no doubt that the living and kitchen space is one of the most desirable living areas we have built, both on a practical and aesthetic level. In the kitchen we see entertaining elements such as the cellar and concealed bar cabinet, the combination of stone and timber bench tops, the large window that gives a superb view to the South of the property, the high ceilings that hug the gabling roof and the stunning light bar above the kitchen bench. Close by in the living area we installed one of the key features of the property, a Cheminees Philippe fireplace.

Modifications to the existing floor plan cleverly created a guest bathroom. As with all areas of the home there was a considered and curated selection of materials and finishes including tiles, tapware and lighting.

From the original small bathroom we created the ensuite which retains the cast iron bath and pedestal basin ensuring authentic character was preserved. A fluted glass shower screen sitting on a tiled nib wall thematically links to the guest bathroom perfectly fusing the contemporary with mid century modern.
