Benchmark Wine Bar opened its doors in April 2003 with a vision of being the only true wine bar in the ACT.
Since then Benchmark Wine Bar has proven to be the leader in wine knowledge. Our philosophy for our European cuisine is to serve the best possible produce daily in a simple and unique style, where both food and wine complement each other.
Civic’s famous ‘Benchmark Winebar’ will soon be undergoing an evolution into a new Canberra eatery, 65 Northbourne. We will retain the attitude we have, to amazing food and great service but in a modern environment and with a revolutionised menu.
On the 18th October 2017, 65 Northbourne will open its doors and we hope you can join us to celebrate the regions best seasonal produce with our new menu designed by our renowned French chef, Mathilde Pomies. You will find wine to surprise and delight on our updated Wine List and cocktails that will ignite the senses.

Truffle season has begun!
To celebrate we will be offering a 4 course degustation every Wednesday night until the 9th of August.
We will feature new dishes every week but here's a look at last week's amazing menu to get your mouth watering.
The degustation is $89 per person or $119 for a glass of matched wine with each course.
