Nearly 2-years have passed since I drew the final page of this final graphic novel trilogy, and at long last, it is gloriously finished!!

WINNER of another “I-don’t-like-cosplay-but-secretly-think-it’s-cool-and-am-quietly-judging-you-all” contest at ComicGong 2025!! This was an obvious first choice, tho I will admit there were some pretty good ideas and performances scootin around the show.
This young lady is an awesome mashup of the Mad Hatter and Captain Jack Sparrow, with real dreads. It’s one thing to pull of the likeness of a character, but another to pull off something original.

It was another great show at ComicGong, put on by the tireless staff at who seriously do not get enough credit or praise for their hard, UNPAID extra work to make this happen. Help keep events like this happening by writing to Wollongong Lord Mayor and encourage this event to continue here in Wollongong.
Till next year everyone, thanks for coming out!!!

I’d also put forward “don’t start your comic creator journey with your Grand Story idea that’s 200 issues long.”

There’s much a doin’ behind the scenes here in comic town. This is some early line art for the 2-Indonesian folktale stories I’m illustrating for and the UNESCO GEOPARK in Maros, Sulawesi.

These folk tales? Brutal as F! Get ready…
These, along with the science comic that is part of the whole project, will be coming out in August. Now, if you’ll excuse…back to the drawing table.

Well, “LOBO: the Hunted and the Hunter” unfortunately didn’t take home an award from the 2024 CAAA’s (Ledger awards), BUT! I did win “the (awesome) People’s Choice Award” by a panel of exclusive and wonderful judges.

Not only did LOBO win “the Supreme Excellence Award for Most Awesomeness”, but also took home “Best in Show”, “the Most Best Award”, “the Modest Stoic Award”, “a Nice Beard Award”, “Award Award”, and the coveted “Masterpiece in Human Form Award”.

It was a stacked lineup of talent, but LOBO managed to sweep in many of these highly respected categories. To which I’d like to thank the many wonderful people who have helped along the way, not only with the creation of LOBO, but with many of my projects. Steadfast and most important of them all is my beautiful and cherished partner, Ali Kimbrough, who has been my biggest fan and most brutal critic, who has kept me afloat through rough times and kept me honest when I get ahead myself. Without you, dear, I drift without reason or direction.
And of course, to my wonderful friends Clare and Joe, who always know how to make me laugh if I’m down (and how to craft a convincing knock-off of the real thing!)

Thanks everyone, and if you’re keen to grab a copy of the multi-award winning masterpiece, find the link to my shop in the BIO ☝️

Congratulations to all the other nominees who made the list this year, it’s a huge honour to be listed amongst these other heavy weights in Australian comics.
The winners for Bronze, Silver, and Gold will be announced at the end of November…fingers crossed🤞 . Thanks again to all the wonderful people who have supported this book, and as usual, you can grab a copy on Amazon to be delivered just about anywhere in the world (Christmas is coming!!).
