7 DAYS TO GO for our Go fund me campaign :-)

Dear wonderful friends family and colleagues,

The SoundOut festival has been at my heart of things for 17 years and more than ever it is an event that is like a healing balm (even just for a moment) to all the dystopian political craziness befalling the planet, and a beacon of experimental musical collaborations that speaks to the need for more of this. More collaborations rather than less, conflation of difference and distance, about community, the human community gathering for the ritual of deep listening and for a moment, yes peeling back the layers to hope and uplifting the community. It is not an easy task crowd-funding but it is what I must do to make the festival a reality in only 7 days [yes a weeks time]. We are now at “81%” of our crowd funding goal and definitely need you support to reach the target of $18000. So, we need your support to cover artist fees, travel, accommodation, and production costs. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help us continue this important tradition and ensure that these artists have a platform to be heard.

Two Workshops are being held in conjunction with the SoundOut Festival this year 2026, with renowned Artists from Switzerland, Denmark, France and the UK.
Firstly 9am -11:55am Saturday 31st January: Samuel Bl**er Trio improvisation Workshop from 9am - 11:59am with [Samuel Bl**er Trombone; Marc Ducret guitar ; Peter Brunn drums]
Secondly 9am - 11:55am Sunday 1st Feb : Christoph Gallio and Phil Durrant Free improvisation Workshop
The Cost of these workshops is inline with standard fees, and is to pay the Artists and are high value for money workshop by international Artist in their fields . This is a not for profit event on all levels.

As the Admin of this group since its inception I also run the SoundOut International Festival of free improvisation, Free Jazz and Experimental Music + Art. As we did not recieve any funding for the 2026 Festival we are running a Go Fund Me campaign to raise the funds to allow us to continue with this vital Artistic event. So I am ASK each and everyone of you to please donate, as much or little as you can :-)
