A well-nourished child who starts the day with breakfast is more likely to be at school, a better learner, and willing to participate in the classroom.

HelpingACT provides nutritious food to 12 ACT school breakfast clubs so that many kids who would otherwise miss breakfast have access to healthy food first thing to kick start their day.

Every week of term we provide more than 450 school kids with a nutritious start to the day, including toast, cereals, milk and fresh fruit - helping to grow tomorrow’s leaders.

It was wonderful to join colleagues across the Assembly today to support Helping ACT’s fundraiser to help keep Trudie on the road.

Trudie is HelpingACT’s much-loved ute, used to deliver essential goods and tow Foodie, their food trailer, so they can continue providing practical support and free meals to people across Canberra.

Mohammed’s recent Medal of the Order of Australia is also a well-deserved recognition of his years of service to the ACT community.

Tonight, Purpose Media CBR was delight to host two tables at HelpingACT’s JuneroCity Fund Raising Dinner and support their incredible work providing food relief across the Canberra community.

Helping ACT is a local, registered Canberra charity bringing people together to lend a helping hand to those in need, supporting families and individuals with food hampers, school breakfast programs, community meals and other essentials.

Canberrans are facing increased cost-of-living pressures and so the work HelpingACT does is more important than ever.

Thank you to HelpingACT for the vital work you do, and to everyone who continues to support food relief in our city.
