Woodstack Designs

Well it's been a bit quiet on the Woodstack front recently. We've been flat out on other projects so Woodstack has been on the back burner for a bit. The good news is that we're looking forward to getting stuck in this year!
We're up in Kuranda now so once I get my work space sorted out stand by for some new pieces. I've got plenty of timber and some fantastic ideas so watch this space!

Hi Folks.
Yes, it's been a while hasn't it?
I've been busy though: beavering away in the carport making stuff, out and about sourcing timber and sketching away coming up with new designs. This latest piece is a reception desk for the crew at Wild Heart Yoga in Cairns.

I'm going to be making another bed next, which is great because I love making them. Then I'm going to make a funky little bench top tea chest. Looking forward to that one too. Watch this space...

Just finished making a queen size bed from, you guessed it: reclaimed pallets!
Delivered, installed and ready to sleep on. Sweet dreams everyone!

One spice rack delivered, installed and populated. Really enjoyed making this piece and very happy with it. Happy birthday Kaz!

Pippi modelling our latest Woodstack design. This piece is a spice rack for Mum's birthday. It's made from a recycled hardwood pallet and some leftover plywood from a previous project. Just waiting on a crown mould and a coat of poly to finish off.

Voila! Delivered and installed two sets of pigeon hole cupboards for the Wild Heart Yoga Tribe. The new pieces compliment the display cabinet we delivered a couple of months ago.
The pigeon holes are made from reclaimed plywood with a pallet timber top.

And so it begins. Another stack of rescued timber (plywood in this case) is ready to be transformed into something pretty special. Watch this space. 😀

This is a display cabinet we made for the Wild Heart Yoga Tribe studio in Edge Hill, Cairns.
It's hand made from reclaimed timber pallets. We had great fun designing and making it, especially the hanging rails, timber hooks and laminated side panels. Definitely looking forward to more great projects with the Wild Heart crew - thanks guys!

Latest addition to the Woodstack Designs collection. This piece has been made from a couple of old pallets. The handle was made by a local blacksmith. The rest was made by me.
