The Spiritual Path of Nonviolent Communication is based on Robert's previous book, The Spirituality of Nonviolent Communication, but it has been expanded to include explanations of Living Compassion and Nonviolent Communication that make this book accessible to newcomers. Those readers who already have NVC experience will find new material has been added to deepen their understanding of Living Compassion. The book begins with one of Robert's most powerful poems and ends with a description of a boyhood experience that influenced the trajectory of his life. More of Robert’s writings about "Living the Divine" have also been incorporated in this new edition. Each chapter concludes with meditation and journal practices to support direct experience of the themes presented in it.

It's not NVC but there is a lot in this article that is worth considering when we show up to listen and connect with others. A word of caution: take it easy with number 6: interjecting. Try to give people the appropriate quality of spaciousness to explore their experience while they share. Follow your intuition here but err on the side of listening rather than responding.
