After a lot of thought, we've decided to close Somewhere Tea - our own matcha brand🍵
What started as a passion project became proof that real, consistent, premium matcha can be done honestly, with no false "ceremonial grade" labels. We're so proud of that.
But life outside the tin is asking more of us right now: home, family, careers, and our own wellbeing. Letting go is bittersweet, but it's the right call.
To everyone who whisked, sipped, shared, and supported us: thank you. You made this worth it 💚
We're clearing our final matcha stock now. Once it's gone, it's gone. Link in bio.

TSUKI is finally back in the 30g and 100g sizes.
After months of being sold out, our best-selling, creamy, smooth ceremonial blend from Uji, Kyoto is back in stock. It's a blend of 50% Okumidori and 50% Yabukita, bringing out the umami and earthiness that make matcha good.
If you've been waiting for TSUKI, now's the time to order.

Kinu’s back — in 30g and 100g too. 🌿
“Kinu” means silk, which is about right. It’s our Okumidori ceremonial blend from Shizuoka, smooth and a little sweet, no bitterness. Good whisked on its own, better in a latte if you ask us.
It goes quick, so grab it while it’s here.

Every matcha goes through this test
Not just for texture, but everything behind it
We’ve structured our Single Cultivar Series so you can choose based on how you naturally enjoy matcha — not by levels, not by overthinking.
Each cultivar offers a different experience in how it drinks, so you can find what actually suits your routine.
Hiyori — light, crisp, and clean. Easy to drink, especially if you prefer something refreshing.
Kaze — balanced and smooth with a bit more depth. A steady everyday option.
Kokuryu — deeper and more intense, with a fuller, more pronounced profile.
This series isn’t about hierarchy — it’s about preference.
Some people lean lighter. Some prefer more depth. There’s no “right” choice, only what you’ll keep reaching for.
If you’re unsure, start with Hiyori. You can always explore deeper profiles as your taste develops.
Most people find their favourite after trying a few.
