Life After Transition: A New Chapter Begins
Transitioning from military service is more than changing careers—it’s a significant life adjustment that can impact identity, purpose, relationships, and wellbeing.
While many veterans embrace new opportunities in civilian life, others may face challenges adapting to a different routine, navigating employment, or finding a renewed sense of purpose. These experiences are common, and support can make a meaningful difference.
At ACTIV, we recognise that mental health and wellbeing remain important long after service ends. By fostering connection, resilience, and access to support, we can help veterans build fulfilling lives beyond their military careers.
No matter where you are on your transition journey, you don't have to face it alone.

What is a Panic Attack?
A panic attack is a sudden surge of intense fear or anxiety that can happen without warning. It can feel overwhelming and frightening, even when there is no immediate danger.
Common symptoms include:
🔹 Racing heart or palpitations
🔹 Shortness of breath
🔹 Chest pain or tightness
🔹 Dizziness or feeling faint
🔹 Sweating or shaking
🔹 Nausea
🔹 Feeling detached from reality
🔹 Fear of losing control or dying
While panic attacks can feel terrifying, they are not usually physically dangerous and often peak within 10–20 minutes.
If panic attacks are affecting your daily life, support is available. Talking to a healthcare professional can help you understand what's happening and learn strategies to manage them.
