The cameras are set and we’re excited to be capturing all the action at the 2026 QRC and WIMARQ Resources Awards for Women.
We’ve got a team of 5 today, producing dynamic highlights reels, as well as social-first interview videos with the award winners.
We’re proud to support the resources industry in QLD, and the fantastic achievements of women through the state.
A sneak peak into one of the projects we produced last year, in the Hunter Valley.

First shoot back for the year 💥
—
Excited to be back on site filming this week. I love it, storytelling through video.
Throughout all the projects, industries and clients we interact with, I find there are so many interesting stories that are worth sharing:
- Stories for internal audiences (think recruitment and safety training)
- Stories for marketing purposes (case studies)
- Stories for external stakeholders (project updates and comms)
- Stories for the industry (industry advocacy campaigns)
I love using video to highlight the innovation and value that your company is bringing to the market.
Picking creative angles. Giving audiences a look at something they wouldn’t normally see, and elevating it visually so it leaves a strong, memorable impression.
And showcasing the legends that make up the industry.
January and February are sometimes quieter months, but they’re also a great chance to capture content and start telling these stories before things ramp up again.
What are you working on this year that’s worth sharing through video?

We’re back and ready to roll. 2026 is shaping up to be another big year for the industries that build Australia. And we’re proud to help tell their stories.
End of year video: Can you spot your project in here?

This year we’ve worked with clients delivering some of the most interesting, innovative and challenging projects across Australia.
From frac stimulation in the gas industry, to Australia’s first fully off-grid battery electric road freight trucks, we’ve been all around the country capturing the projects, products and people behind the work.
One thing that’s stood out to us this year is how eager companies are to show off their innovation, their value and impact. Video has been a fantastic way to help share these stories and achievements with their customers, employees and stakeholders.
This video pulls together a few highlights from the year.
Huge thanks to you, our amazing clients - the people we get to work with each day.
For trusting us with your brands and complex projects, and for giving us the opportunity to help showcase the work and achievements you’re proud of.
We’re proud to be working with you - the people and companies that build Australia.
From the team at Pure Gold Films, wishing you a Merry Christmas and a well earned break!

We’ve just wrapped on a 3 month branding project with electrical contractor PHE Group.
This week it’s taken our team to Snow Mountains, capturing their team at work on Snowy Hydro’s Tumut 3 power station, and at the Visy paper mill in Tumut.
With over 50 years experience, PHE work on some of Australia’s most iconic industrial projects.
This shoot is part of PHE’s brand and website refresh, where we’re helping build a library of video and photos that showcase their people, projects and capabilities.
The content will also support PHE in project tenders, bid submissions and wider marketing.
The photos here are a few BTS moments from the shoot, and we’re looking forward to sharing the finished content soon.
Big thanks to Courtney and the PHE team for your trust and collaboration over the past few months.

How do you show technical capability and proven experience in a way that’s authentic and visually powerful?
That was the focus of a recent two-day shoot for Thiess Asset Services in the Hunter Valley.
Here’s a few BTS pics from the shoot.
We spent day one inside their Mount Thorley Workshop Facility, capturing machine rebuilds on a Cat 793 and D11 dozer.
On day two, we were up at first light to follow their maintenance team at Mount Pleasant Mine, filming inspections and servicing of diggers in the pit, including their new Liebherr R 9600, which looked incredible in the early morning light.
We captured a full mix of stills, drone and video content, with minimal disruption to the team on the ground. And all designed to feed into a new series of capability and social content.
We’ve worked with Thiess around Australia over the past few years.
We understand how their operations run, and we make it easy for their marketing team by taking the lead through every step of the content process, from planning to filming, editing and delivery.
Thanks to for having us on board again!
Looking forward to sharing the finished content with you soon.

Last week, Zach and I were back at Bengalla Mine in the Hunter Valley, filming the final instalment of a video all about excavator maintenance and life cycles.
The morning kicked off in thick fog, which gave us some awesome atmospheric shots. Once things cleared, we got stuck into capturing the kind of behind-the-scenes work many people don’t get a chance see.
Two highlights for me were getting inside the R 9600 excavator (always a thrill) to film engine inspections, and filming an undercarriage inspection up close.
Thanks to the team at for letting us tell this story. It’s been a privilege to shine a light on the people and processes that keep these machines running.
Fog, big iron, grease, and a camera... just a regular morning, right?

It’s been a big week of filming across the country for Pure Gold Films. One of the things we love most about our work is the variety, we get to capture some incredible projects and tell some really interesting industry stories.
Here’s what we’ve been filming this week:
✅ Central QLD – Cat dozers in a bulk push
✅ Melbourne – Drill rig case study
✅ Far North QLD – Demolition in action
✅ Brisbane – Engineering capability video
And up next:
📍 Big diggers in the Hunter Valley
📍 Internal company awards in Perth
📍 Hydraulic hammers in Fremantle
📍 Manufacturing site in Adelaide
📍 Mining industry awards in Brisbane
There’s a lot of great stories to share in the mining, civil and construction industries. Our customers are finding that video is a powerful way to communicate and engage their audiences, to enhance their company image, and showcase what they do best.
If you’ve got a story worth telling, send us a DM to see how we can help.

This happened a few weeks ago while I was on a shoot — rushing to capture a low-angle shot of two people walking toward the camera.
We only had about 10 minutes before we had to move on the next location and in the scramble, my lens filter took a hit.
It’s been five years since I last dropped a camera.
While I was a bit frustrated at myself in the moment, I wasn’t too stressed because we had backups on hand, so the rest of the shoot stayed on track (and we still had two days to go!).
For every shoot, I carry:
📸 Backup lenses
📸 Backup cameras
📸 Backup drone
I've found this is especially critical when we’re shooting in remote parts of Australia or on mine sites, where the nearest camera store is hours away, not just a five-minute drive.
Whether it’s a drone crash or a dropped camera, knowing I can keep rolling without missing a beat is key to delivering for our clients.
It’s the little things that make the biggest difference when it counts.
