While the days of the red pen might be gone, copywriting is still 10% writing and 90% editing! ✍️
The first draft of anything is rarely ready to be reviewed by others. It’s usually the initial scribblings of an idea that’s yet to fully take shape.
It’s almost like sculpting. As we’re editing, we’re removing all the superfluous ideas to get to the heart of the matter.
We LOVE to see where each piece of content takes us. While we always work to brief, there’s always so much scope for interpretation. Our initial idea might only be a whisper in the final content.

We get it - typos happen all the time. 😬
Usually, that squiggly red line underneath a word is a lifesaver! 🛟
But when it’s not available, or you put in a real word that has the wrong meaning, you can very easily come unstuck!
Like below, where, we’re not sure what exactly a Grand Ginal is, and TBH, not keen to find out 😂
Or when our local sporting club described a team as the ‘least photogenic’ instead of ‘least photographed’ 😳🤦♀️. There were some very insulted players that day! 🫤
While it’s funny to laugh at these little errors, they can damage your brand. Taking time to reread before you post, and maybe again after you post, is always a good idea.💡
