Last October, we hosted the Inner Circle Forum 2024 in Taipei, bringing together global leaders to chart a sustainable future for tourism. Here's what we learned on Day 1:
π‘ In Session 1, we explored how destinations can grow sustainably. Irelandβs Climate Action Program showcased the power of sustainability indicators and resilience planning to drive regional development and strengthen destination growth.
π‘ In Session 2, we tackled the road to net zero. Collaboration, energy efficiency and bold decision-making were identified as critical elements for achieving carbon-neutral tourism operations.
π‘ In Session 3, we learned the value of aligning sustainability with community goals. By integrating local values into sustainability efforts, destinations can secure long-term benefits for communities and the environment alike.
