We need a superstar dog model! 🌟
On Friday 22 May at 6:15am (until 7:30am), we'll be demonstrating how we create variety in a single beach location in under an hour - at the off-leash dog beach at The Spit on the Gold Coast.
This is a demo session at a professional photography conference, with around 30 photographers observing, so we need a very special dog.
We're basically looking for a unicorn in dog form. 🦄
Here's exactly what we need:
🐾 Excellent level of training and obedience with the three D's - distance, duration, and distraction
🐾 Excellent, reliable recall
🐾 Solid off-leash stay
🐾 Highly socialised and not overly interested in other dogs - it's an off-leash beach so there will be other dogs around
🐾 Confident and comfortable around crowds of people
🐾 Medium to large size for visibility in front of a big group
If your dog ticks every single one of those boxes, we'd love to hear from you!
TO APPLY: Drop a comment below with a photo of your dog and tell us exactly why they're the right fit for this. Treat it like a job application - we need all the info please!
What's in it for you?
A professional beach shoot with me (Charlotte Reeves) and my business partner Craig Turner-Bullock (Furtography), plus a gallery of high resolution images from two of the world's leading pet photographers. 📸
And the absolute thrill of being famous for 75 minutes. 😉

📢 Calling all Brisbane (and Australian) pet photographers!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you might know that after many years working with private pet photography clients, I now teach pet photographers full time.
Through Unleashed Education, I share nearly 20 years of experience alongside my business partner, the very talented New Zealand pet photographer Craig Turner-Bullock.
For the first time in 12 years, instead of jet-setting off to an exciting international destination, we’re running a workshop right here in Brisbane.
If you’re a pet photographer located in Brisbane, or even elsewhere in Australia, this might just be of interest to you…

Enzo – one of my fave NZ dog models!
I've been photographing this guy since he was a little pup and it's always so nice reconnecting with him when I visit NZ. Not only is he stunning, he's the biggest smoocher, always with a tonne of love to share. 🥰
These were taken at Cromwell, at the orchards, and the old historic precinct. Love shooting there!
Thanks for letting us share your boy, Lu McEwan!

It's been a long time since I posted a yearly wrap-up, but 2025 was such a big year I just had to get back to it! There was travel, workshops, awards, meaningful personal sessions and plenty of dog photography adventures. In this post I share personal stories and behind the scenes images - enjoy!

2025 Wrap-up — Charlotte Reeves Photography After a few years focused on teaching through Unleashed Education, I realised it was time to slow down long enough to reflect on my own creative journey too. This wrap-up takes you behind the scenes of 2025 - a year of travel, workshops, awards, meaningful personal sessions and plenty of dog photogr

Charlotte's Top 10 Photos of 2025 Let’s take a look at some of my favourite photos from the year that was 2025.

Autumn is just magical in Wanaka - the tall yellow poplars dropping their leaves in the wind, the pebbly lakefront, the views to snow-capped mountains in the distance.
Team Unleashed Education met up with Ralph here back in April this year, just for a fun photo session this time - no filming content for once!
Loved working with this guy, white dogs really do stand out against the landscape so well.

What a cool furry gang! 😍🐾
These guys were up for the task of helping us out with filming some content for Unleashed Education in beautiful Glenorchy, back in April this year.
From two different families, they nevertheless posed beautifully next to each other for a group shot - just a few tweaks needed with donor images to be perfect!
Left to right we have: Joop, Kara, Elsa, Roland and Maggie.
If you're in the Unleashed Premium Membership, you can watch the replay of the Live Edit of this composite edit - just head to the Live Edit Archive > May 2025. Let me know if you need help finding it!

I have so many images of this handsome guy that it was too hard to choose just one to post, so here's a small collection instead.
I photographed Paddy while in New Zealand in April this year with the rest of the Unleashed Education team. Our main purpose was to film some educational videos, but of course, we couldn't resist just a few shots for ourselves, and to pass onto the dog owners as thanks for their time.
I think you'll agree, Paddy is a super handsome Lab, and had the "blue steel" straight-down-the-barrel-of-the-lens pose absolutely nailed. Thanks so much for sharing him with us Caitlin!
Oh and if you're wondering about the location, it's Queenstown Gardens. Not the easiest spot to shoot but it has some lovely spots!
