This week I’ve been down the rabbit hole of making face masks. I thought it would be quite straightforward but there’s definitely things that make some masks fit better than others and after quite a few attempts at different ideas I’m happy with the shape of one I’ve come up with. I’ve added a couple of fabric options to my Etsy shop including pretty hand painted splatters and am making to order as they come in. I have included a filter pocket and each mask will come with one charcoal filter. Also adjustable ear loops to make it a more custom fit and the option of a nose piece for a little more snugness across the nose .

My made to order customers are always the first on my list when it comes to how I spend my work days. This means sometimes it takes me a while to get my other creative projects finished. This one has been in the works for quite a few months, you may remember the beginnings of it from my stories pre-COVID times. It’s now finished and hanging pretty in my Etsy shop. A one of a kind linen wall hanging, I’ve painted it with eco friendly fabric paints and have added some stitching onto the painted surface. Hand cut tassels in cream and white. This is a unique piece to hang on your wall and make you feel happy each day that you see it. 😀💕☀️

My first digital pattern is out in the world! I’ve created a simple and I hope, easy to follow pattern so you can make your own Elk and Ina style obi belt! In adjustable sizing and with step by step instructions and photos to help you get sewing and creating in your own homely space.
This has been a looong time coming to fruition, so I’m super happy to have it finished and ready for you to cultivate some happy creativity in your life! 💙

Anyone out there like to make pretty things? My first digital pattern will be available next week! I’m making available the pattern I use to make my pretty obi belts so you can make your own!
I’ve tried to make the pattern super easy to understand, so that even a beginner sewist will have success making these lovely belts, and I’ll always be on hand to answer any of your questions if you need a little help!
It was a MUCH bigger project than I originally thought it would be but an enjoyable learning experience and I hope to do more in the future! 🖤
