Strata Community Association Qld
Strata Community Association (Qld) is the peak industry body for body corporate and community title management (strata management) in Queensland.
Being a member of SCAQ means being a part of a community. ๐ค
In strata, it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day.
The deadlines, the meetings, the emails, the constant demands. It's a profession that never seems to slow down.
That's why making time to come together matters.
QStrata Conference & Expo wasn't just about the education or the industry insights. It was about reconnecting with colleagues, strengthening relationships and being reminded that we're part of something much bigger than our individual workplaces.
From our first StrataSocial networking event through to the Conference itself, there was a genuine sense that, even if it had been months since seeing one another, no time had passed at all. That's the strength of our community.
As SCAQ President George Salloum reflects in this video, it's the camaraderie, the shared purpose and the willingness to support one another that makes Queensland's strata sector so unique. Even Queensland's Attorney-General, Deb Frecklington, commented on the incredible connection and unity she witnessed throughout the Conference.
That's the value of being part of SCAQ.
It's knowing you're never navigating this profession alone. You're part of a connected community that learns together, supports one another and works collectively to strengthen Queensland's strata sector.
The passion and support shown by our members is what makes SCAQ what it is today. Together, we'll continue harnessing the knowledge, experience and commitment of our community to build an even stronger future for strata in Queensland.
Thank you to everyone who made QStrata 2026 such a memorable experience. We can't wait to do it all again.

Housing supply is one of Queensland's most pressing challenges, but delivering more homes requires more than planning approvals alone.
Today, SCAQ welcomed the Queensland Government's decision to double the funding available under Round 2 of the Residential Activation Fund from $500 million to $1 billion.
As SCAQ CEO Laura Bos said:
"The conversation cannot simply be about building more homes. It must also be about building the infrastructure, communities and liveability that allow Queenslanders to thrive. Housing without the supporting infrastructure is a promise that cannot be delivered."
This investment recognises an important reality: housing cannot be delivered without the critical infrastructure that supports it.
Water, sewerage, stormwater, transport, power and telecommunications infrastructure are often the missing link between housing being planned and housing actually being built.
As Queensland continues to grow, particularly in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, investment in enabling infrastructure will be critical to unlocking housing opportunities, supporting affordability and creating sustainable communities.
The strata sector has an important role to play in Queensland's housing future. Well-designed apartment and community living developments provide housing choice, support affordability and help create connected, vibrant communities close to jobs, services and transport.
The Residential Activation Fund is an investment not only in housing supply, but in the long-term success of the communities Queenslanders will call home.
