At Project Yumi, we believe access to basic healthcare should never be out of reach, especially something as life-changing as clear vision.

We were proud to support PNG Eye Care, a local not-for-profit doing incredible work at Port Moresby General Hospital’s eye clinic, by donating an ophthalmology Trial Lens Set and a Precision Vision ETDRS Illuminator Cabinet.

This vital piece of equipment will allow PNG Eye Care to accurately measure prescriptions and diagnose common vision problems.

What makes this donation even more impactful is how practical it is, no power needed, easy to transport, and built to last. It can be taken beyond the clinic and used in rural communities where services are limited or non-existent. We are grateful to play a small part in supporting the work PNG Eye Care is doing every day to bring services closer to people who need them.

Big shoutout to Dion Malangen for helping to make an impact in his community! 🇵🇬📚

We’re excited to share that boxes of reading books have been donated through Dion, who is also a registered Project Yumi volunteer based in Port Moresby. 🙌

Dion is currently working towards creating a community library for the people of 5 Mile, helping provide children and families with greater access to education and learning resources.

A special thank you to our delivery partners Sir Brian Bell Foundation and Oilmin Field Services for their generous support which is helping create learning and growth opportunities within the communities.

Every book donated is a step towards empowering young minds and strengthening communities through education. Thank you to everyone involved for supporting this meaningful project!

Our recent donation of netball uniforms went to the Itisora Netball Association in the village of Lese Oalai, Gulf Province.🏐

What might seem like a simple set of uniforms means so much more, it’s pride, confidence, belonging, and the feeling of being seen. It’s stepping onto the court as a team, united and empowered.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Sport has a powerful way of bringing people together, lifting spirits, and creating opportunity, and every girl deserves to feel that.

Thank you to all the sporting teams who continue to donate their pre-loved equipment. Your support is helping us reach communities and create moments like this.

A huge shout out also to our Delivery Partners: Sir Brian Bell Foundation and Oilmin Field Services. Thank you!
